eBay fees: what you keep from a sale
eBay takes 13.6% of the sale price plus $0.40 per order, or $0.30 per order on sales of $10 or less. That is the rate for most categories without an eBay Store; some categories differ, such as books, handbags, jewelry and athletic shoes over $150.
eBay charges the percentage on the total amount of the sale, including shipping and sales tax. The calculator applies it to the sale price, so on a shipped sale the fee is 13.6% of the postage and tax higher.

“You keep” is before what you paid for the item and any shipping you cover.
Is it worth flipping?
The fee is only half the answer. The Thrift Flip calculator takes what you paid and shipping too, across nine marketplaces, and tells you whether a find is worth buying. The SnapWorth app runs the same numbers on a photo, and estimates what the item resells for.
Know the resale value before you pay the fee
Snap a photo and SnapWorth's AI estimates a resale range for your item and its condition, then works out your profit after eBay's fee.
